The NOCLS Golden Burger Challenge is back for 2023!
It’s the 3rd annual Golden Burger Challenge in Vernon, BC! This a burger creation cook-off challenge where chosen restaurants pit against each other to have the honour of the Golden Burger Award! This year, ten Vernon restaurants have prepared their specialty burgers for you to taste and rate. The burgers will be rated on originality, yumminess, creativity and presentation. We welcome anyone to come out to the restaurants and take part in the tastiest fundraiser of the year!

How does is work?
For the whole month of October 2023 you can visit the participating restaurants and order the Golden Burger. There will be a small sign on each table with the information and QR code link to the online rating page. You rate the burgers right there at the restaurant!
Here’s the steps:
1.) Order your tasty Golden Burger
2.) Devour the tasty Golden Burger
3.) Scan the QR code on the table topper (or takeout bag sticker) and rate the Golden Burger on our Challenge site.
4.) That’s it!
By following these steps, you have supported both local restaurants as well as a great local organization who supports people living with disabilities in our local communities! You are a wonderful person!
$5 from every burger sold will be donated to NOCLS. Thank you for participating in this fun fundraiser!

The funds raised through the burger challenge will allow us to financially support individuals and their families to provide support and services that will greatly enrich their lives and get them closer to their vision. We do this by providing resources, training, services, homes and other items that the system does not have the capacity to supply. This could be something as simple as a tablet or communication device, a therapeutic bed for people with mobility issues and even lifts where they’re not deemed necessary by traditional funders. More recently we have purchased land to develop as an inclusive community.
